Shotwell is a picture manager that allows you to sort and view all your pictures in an easy and comfortable way.

When you import pictures to Shotwell you can tag the, so when you'll need to find them you'll do it in a snap.

It also includes a basic photo editor in case you need to change some parameters like saturation or contrast or to resize or rotate pictures.

The thumbnail view can be modified to make it show the name of each picture, detailed information or change the size of the thumbnails.

Shotwell is an interesting alternative to the Windows photo viewer. It offers many more possibilities and it's totally free.
